Art Two Dimensional Design was my major at the awesome Cal State University in Northridge, California. Thanks to expert training from patient Art Instructors, I've been able to pay the rent many times with my graphic design skills.

Diablo III Demon Hunter & Fan Art
Diablo III Demon Hunter For BLIZZCON, I helped other FX Technicians, like Hill Vinot and Cleve Hall over at Total Fab build the latest Diablo III Demon Hunter Character seen prancing about the convention.

I drew some sensual Fan Art on Demon Hunter showing her relaxing near a mountain stream.

Diablo II Character Fan Art
Diablo II Sorceress Fan Art by Designer TJP I've got some Fan Art hangin' up over at Planet Diablo in their Fan Art section. I couldn't resist drawing some of the Diablo II Characters like The Sorceress and Necromancer, while working on the Diablo II TV Commercial at Michael Burnett's FX Shop. Two cool photos of a Paul Mitchell billboard

At Santa Monica Bl. and Fuller St. in Hollywood, this Paul Mitchell hair product ad campaign, painted for John Paul DeLoria, stood for seven years. The custom shape mural was 4 feet high and 7 feet wide. I used an airbrush and acrylic paint to create a photo realistic likness of the hair care product bottles. Acrylic paint will still outlast an Inkjet Printout 5 to 1 out under the hot sun, baby.

Movie Posters make challenging work because they need to capture a person's attention in 3 seconds flat. Once the viewer takes a visual bite, the poster reels them in to read the small credits. To see how a poster is made, go to the top of the page.

I was approached by a New York Hot Dog Stand, called Papaya Heaven, to paint an electronic sign and indoor mural. In the Bronx! It was crazy enough that I'd never ever been on the East Coast (Chicago had been my longest trip east to that moment), and I was nervous about growing up with New York myths of impatient Taxi Drivers turning right from middle lanes, people crossing the street before the light turns go-green, and dudes walking up to your face to say you look beyond New Wave. Well pal, I'm sad to say, but the myths are true. Thank god the project was completed in only a couple of weeks. Plus they let me paint the plexiglass part of the electronic sign at my Mom's house here in Los Angeles. I returned from New York a different man.
All wound up.

This is a photo collage background for a dance club announcement flyer. The name of DJ Takako from Japan will splash across the front in bold letters. The theme title is House Arrest, featuring the thumping sounds of House Music.Photo of me in some pink bell bottoms

Ron Wilson the MagicianThere's an Illustration of mine of the great magician Ron Wilson hanging up at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. I haven't seen my work since it's installation because I don't own a Dinner Jacket required to enter the premises. One day I plan to sew up a custom jacket and check out the joint.

A Single Silhouette.Body Shop Logo

Do you know my rooftop girl
painting and silhouette girl designs are still standing at
the Burlesque Joint, "Body Shop" on Sunset in Hollywood!
We began this graphic campaign in
the early nineties, and the art still holds up
even though the building's been painted yellow
to attract customers.

The TV's Show Logo.

For the Steve Harvey Show, I was asked to create a stack of Faux Comic Books to go on a coffee table in a comedic shot. I used to wanna be a Comic Book Artist back in High School until I heard how many people are actually involved in the storymaking process. Back then, I wanted to do everything all by myself. Only now, have I emerged a "Team Player."

store wideshotThis sign job was a challenge because the store owner wanted the silver sign (on the right) hand painted just like in the old days. I hadn't done any hand painting since about 1995. Most of us designers have long since switched to digital and vinyl cut lettering techniques. I proved I've still got steady fingers with a paint brush. The perfume/cologne store is located across from the California Mart on Los Angeles st. between 9th and Olympic in downtown Los Angeles.silver sign

The old before sign

A new leather shop, DiMaggio, opened here near the California Mart and asked me to make a new sign. I peeled off the old letters and cleaned off the residue adhesive. Because of the budget, sternly dictated to me by the client, I hand cut the silver vinyl letters and borrowed a ladder from the perfume store a couple of doors down. When the budget is decent, I sure like to contact sign shops to take my computer file (Illustrator, Quark, Freehand, PDF, whatever it takes) and print or cut the vinyl. They usually "weed" the letters and mount "transfer tape" for me to do the sign installation.
